Product Description
A very rare and fabulous sterling humidor by a brilliant and imaginative, though anonymous, silversmith. In the center in fine and detailed repousse-work is a vignette of an Indian brave in a canoe. Surrounding this, in each corner, is, in similarly fine and detailed work is an applied collection of all the accessories which we expect of the Native American eg shields, war-bonnets, war clubs, bows, tomahawks, etc. Looks like its all there. Then round the central vignette and around the edges of the humidor are naturalistic lashed wood borders. Wonderful condition. The interior has a gold wash and the slots for the humidity elements. Just marked on the base: Sterling, # 525.
