Originally from Vermont, T.T.Wilmot first entered the directories when he opened a shop with S.Wilmot in 1837 in Charleston, SC, which lasted till at least 1841. In 1843, on his own, he had opened a shop in Savannah and, in 1844, opened another shop in Columbus. He was still in business in 1850 when S. Wilmot re-appears and takes over his shop, after which T.T disappears. No record of the relationship between the two Wilmots,
Very plain blade and fiddle handle. Inscribed "Amelia". Good condition, usage scratches to blade.
