Product Description

A wonderful hand wrought sterling gravy ladle with a hammered texture. Has an unique T-bar end to the long narrow handle. After moving from Rhode Island, Franklin Porter (1869-1935) established his workshop, named St. Dunstan's in honor of the patron saint of his art, in a seventeenth century historic building in Danvers, Massachusetts. His career flourished as he gained the reputation of "a twentieth century Paul Revere". Many of his items are in private and museum collections, including the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Essex Peabody Museum. In very good condition. Inscription on the back of the handle " E.LB.C.B Feb 6 1916". Dimensions: Length 9.5". Weight 1.93 Troy oz.
