Product Description
A very good George III sterling tankard by D. Urquart and N. Hart , hallmarked for London 1802. It is cylindrical in form with reeded decoration, fitted with a pierced thumbpiece and a hollow looped handle. There is a finely engraved crest on the of a raised arm holding an arrow above the motto "FORTITER ET CELERITER". In English it means "Bravely and Swiftly".
In very good condition. Clear hallmarks on the body and lid. Dimensions: 6.5" tall, 4.25" base diameter. 26 T.oz
