I first came into the antique business in 1973 with stalls on Portobello Road, Bermondsey, Camden Passage and the Sunday Fairs. For people who are not familiar with the UK, Portobello Road, Bermondsey and Camden Passage are, now famous, antique markets held in London every Saturday, Friday and Wednesday respectively. The Sunday Fairs are antique shows held every Sunday at various hotels throughout the country. It was at these markets and fairs that I served my apprenticeship.

My first established business was in 1983 with a shop in Gray's Antique Market, off Oxford Street, London. As business flourished I also opened a showroom just round the corner in the Silver Galleries on Bond Street.

By 1984 I had built up quite a large customer base in the USA that I thought it was time for a visit. To me it was El Dorado Revisited, For the next 10 years I ran a monthly commute between the UK and the USA with shipments in both directions. Getting tired of flying but torn between two shores I flipped a coin and USA won. In 1994 I transferred my business to Boston and in 1999 I followed the weather and snow-birds to Atlanta.

My interest is not confined to any one field, but encompasses a very wide spectrum. I am fascinated by all aspects of the silver business, from Antique through Arts & Crafts to Art Deco from wherever. Hence the large and diverse inventory, all of which is backed by documentation. I have an extensive and ever-expanding reference library to ensure that my descriptions are accurate and legitimate.
